Teachers were invited to join their “team” members in a “Breakfast of Champions,” and Wheaties boxes decorated with their winning pictures lined the tables. Teachers were awarded gold medals to wear during the week in honor of their excellent performances.
Principal Ann Sciarini wore a whistle and patriotic running jacket, as the teachers’ proud “team coach” leading them to a victorious year. Students and staff congratulated the teachers throughout the day.
Additional champions recognized at the breakfast were art instructor Sonnya Fosgate, speech therapist Joyce Teopas, remedial specialist Sue Kujawa, school counselor Ellen Welker, teacher’s aide Jeanette Swiergosz and director of religious education Kathy Huffman.
